IWC - A Brief History

A brief History

Originally, IWC was an American company producing watches in Switzerland for the US market.   In 1868, the company moved to Schaffhausen, Germany.   IWC really made a name for itself in World War II by making intricate Pilot's Watches.   In 1967 IWC introduced the Aquatimer and changed the diving watch market forever.   Worn in many movies by Jacques Cousteau, the aquatimer was the first watch to have a rotating bezel inside the watch, not on the outside of the case.   Currently, IWC is owned by the Swatch Group.

You will find IWC watches for sale at Second Time Around Watch Company.
