Breguet - A Brief History
A brief history
In 1775, A.L. Breguet founded his company and soon became an official supplier to the French Royal family. Breguet invented the first self-winding watch, first repeater, and the first turbillion. He utilized moon phase perpetual calendars, and with the help of Napoleon, he invented the hinged "half-hunter". Through most of the 1900’s the company was sold a number of times. In 1999, the Swatch Group purchased and acquired Breguet.
You will find Breguet watches for sale at Second Time Around Watch Company.
